Annotated bibliography

One of the major outputs of this Work Package is an Annotated Bibliography of relevant literature for examining the intersection of petrocultures and cultural heritage. The bibliography comprises a wide range of sources, including books, edited volumes, peer-reviewed articles, reports, and case studies. While it has a global scope, it places particular emphasis on European perspectives and experiences.

It is intended for researchers, policymakers, students, and cultural heritage professionals who wish to deepen their understanding of how petroculture and cultural heritage intersect, especially within the context of sustainable transitions. Covering fields such as Arts and Humanities (A&H), Critical Heritage Studies, Energy Humanities, and Heritage Management, the bibliography provides insights into the intricate relationships between cultural heritage, energy practices, and the broader push for sustainability. The bibliography is searchable by keywords.

Postdoctoral fellow Mounir Sabeh Affaki (ISCTE) has responsibility for development of the Annotated bibliography.

The bibliography will be updated regularly throughout the project. The latest version can be downloaded here.
