Work Package 1

PITCH will conduct archival and historical research along with bibliographic searches of the simultaneous rise of petrocultures and heritage cultures and their entanglement in Work Package 1.

By analysing the historical impact of fossil fuels on cultural heritage, WP1 seeks to highlight how past and present cultural heritage practices reflect social, economic, and political changes. The data collected through WP1’s comparative approach will provide the historical and contextual background leading to the interventions in museums, landscapes, and industrial sites.
